Celebrate & Meditate with Thanksgiving Music

Earlier this week, an unseasonably early snowfall kept us inside, providing a perfect opportunity for cozy indoor activities. I’ve been baking and catching up on some “fun” computer projects, including creating a Thanksgiving-themed playlist on Spotify. (I mentioned this idea in a prior post.)

With its mix of classic hymns with and contemporary worship songs, I have thoroughly enjoyed this playlist! It includes old favorites as well as selections I’d never heard before, from Andrew Peterson, the Gettys, Chris Tomlin, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Rich Mullins, Voctave, Rend Collective, Alison Krauss, Fernando Ortega, and more.

If you’d like to listen, you can search for my “Happy Thanksgiving” playlist for free on Spotify, as pictured below.

God bless, and Happy Thanksgiving season!

What kind of music do you like? Who are some of your favorite artists? I welcome your comments.

  1. Thank you for the wonderful inspiration you so eloquently express verbally and for sharing your Thanksgiving music. I can’t wait to take a listen! You inspired me to get out my few Thanksgiving CD’s to listen to in my car. (even though I’m not in it much!) I have enjoyed every single blog and tried to comment, but somehow haven’t succeeded. I’m thankful for your mother, an incredible lady. She shared your blog with me, and I’ve been a follower ever since. I’m thank full for you and also your daughter Shae. What godly women in your family.

  2. Been a long time since I’ve even thought about Fernando Ortega! Such a soulful voice 🙂 Nichole Nordeman is also worth a listen; her lyrics are amazing. And after going to Vanderbilt Hospital and getting great news about a young parishoner (so grateful to hear the word benign), I ran back up I-24 with a Michael W. Smith praise and worship CD cranking full blast!
