Our family is grateful for the opportunities given our children through our county and state 4-H programs. Our kids have had experiences and adventures they would never have had otherwise! As their new 4-H year begins, I was inspired to highlight the theme of adventure today.
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. – Psalm 139:9,10
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. – Jeremiah 33:3
Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. – Matthew 6:33
And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. – Matthew 14:29
No, no! The adventures first. Explanations take such a dreadful time. – Lewis Carroll
The adventure of the Christian life begins when we dare to do what we would never tackle without Christ. – William Penn
Adventure is not outside of man; it is within. – George Eliot
Real Christians revel in desperate ventures for Christ, expecting from God great things and attempting the same with exhilaration. – C. T. Studd
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. – Mark Twain
Take time to have a little adventure in your life this week!
What theme would you like me to feature on next week’s post?
