Old Soul Quotes: Resilience

In my study of Eve for Saturday’s post, I realized how her life must have been characterized by resilience.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. – Isaiah 40:31

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 3:13,14

The world breaks everyone, and afterward, some are strong at the broken places. – Ernest Hemingway
