Old Soul Quotes: Giving

I’ve spent the week reading Randy Alcorn’s book The Treasure Principle and learning Matthew 6:19-21, about saving up treasure in heaven. To continue with the theme which has so inspired me, I chose giving as the theme for today’s post.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. – Luke 6:38

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? – Matthew 7:11

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. – Galatians 2:20

You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving. – Amy Carmichael

We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. – Winston Churchill

God prospers me not to raise my standard of living, but to raise my standard of giving. – Randy Alcorn

Hope these words inspire you to give of yourself as much as they did me! Have a beautiful and blessed Sunday. If you have a theme you’d like featured in Old Soul Quotes, please share in the comments. Thank you!
