I love that old praise song, “God Is Good, All the Time.”
We certainly saw evidence of that in our lives this week, one of those situations in which God went above and beyond to provide in ways we could never have imagined.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. – Ephesians 3:20
During the past several months, my husband and I both had some medical bills to take care of, major tests for what turned out to be minor issues, thankfully. (Amazing how a five-minute scan can cost thousands, right?) We always have money saved and would have been able to cover the costs, but I have to admit, I begrudged spending that money on medical tests when it had been set aside for other things. But these other things were wants rather than needs, and I strove to be content.
Then, the blessings began.
And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. – Ezekiel 34:26
While on vacation, our hotel claimed plumbing problems and had to move us. We were unexpectedly not charged for the stay.
When we arrived back at home, we received a check for several hundred dollars from our trash collection company. Turns out I had been overpaying by a little every month for the past couple of years, and they finally let me know!
All together, that money will make quite a dent paying our medical bills, and we haven’t had to touch our savings.
What amazes me is that I didn’t even pray for help in paying these bills. I just prayed that my husband and I would be healthy, or that our issues would be uncomplicated and treatable. Those prayers were answered in the best possible way. My test showed a clean bill of health, and my husband finally received an accurate diagnosis of a problem that will heal on its own in time.
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? – Luke 11:13
That would have been enough. But God, our all-loving, all-powerful Father, decided to do us one better, as the saying goes.
He is just that good to his children.
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. – Malachi 3:10
Have you ever received an extraordinary blessing? I’d love to hear from you.
God provides for us in ways we can’t even imagine. Thank God for your testimony Sis. I am happy for you. Praying for God to perfect all that concerns you and your family

Amen!!! He is so good at redirecting our focus to Him and saying, “I hear you. I see you. I can do you one better, just wait.” Praise the Lord for His goodness and care for His children!
