Memorize & Meditate: Isaiah 26:3-4

We’ve been done with our home schooling year for about two weeks now, and our summer “break” has already been busier than our school year! These verses provide a reminder of the Source of our peace and strength during stressful times.

Happy Monday, all!

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength. – Isaiah 26: 3-4

  1. Isn’t it interesting that Jehovah is God’s real name? Jehovah uses this name to distinguish himself from any other false God and even from Jesus. We know this because at a time before Jesus walked the earth, Jehovah revealed the meaning of his name to Moses.
“So God said to Moses: ‘I Will Become What I Choose to Become.’ And he added: ‘This is what you are to say to the Israelites, “I Will Become has sent me to you.” ‘ “—Exodus 3:14.
Jesus was later given his own name as we know it when he was born on earth:
“She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”—Matthew 1:21.
God’s holy spirit, or active force, is first mentioned in the Bible at Genesis 1:2.
Thus the Bible teaches that they are completely separate and not the same person, or even a part of the same person.
