This Monday morning, it looks like spring is here to stay in my neck of the woods. The sun is out, the wind is calm, and it’s a balmy 50° F. There are still lots of bare brown fields and trees outside, but crocuses, daffodils, and tulips are pushing their way out of the ground in my perennial beds and scattering patches of green here and there.
This week, my family will be memorizing Colossians 3:12-14. Every phrase contains material worth time and thought as we strive to be more like Christ this week.
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
