Memorize & Meditate: 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

In a post from September of last year, What’s in Your Heart?, I wrote about the importance of memorizing Scripture to keep our hearts in tune with God.

While I did incorporate Scripture memory back into my life, I didn’t do it regularly. To establish a routine, I thought I’d begin choosing a short passage from my current Bible reading to memorize and meditate upon each week.

And then I thought, why not share my selections with you all every Monday? I welcome your input and participation.

This week’s passage is 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12.

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you.

That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
