Many evenings, my daughter calls to me, “Mom, come check out this sunset!”
Whatever I’m doing, I try to set it aside for a moment to appreciate the beauty available to us every night, right outside our front windows. But if it weren’t for my daughter drawing my attention to them, I might work right through those lovely sunsets, like the one featured above from several evenings ago. Sunsets like that remind me how important it is to appreciate beautiful moments God creates for us to enjoy. They are opportunities to be more like Mary and less like Martha, to sit for a moment at Jesus’ feet and just soak him in.
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord‘s name is to be praised.–Psalm 113:3
What makes you stop and notice the Lord and his handiwork? I’d love to hear from you.
